World Ocean Day: One Ocean, One Climate, One Future – Together!
Protecting 30x30 by supporting the livelihood of our beloved St Lucian coastal communities
In honor of World Ocean Day, we are releasing our first production of "A Day in the Life of a Sea Moss Farmer". This film follows a typical work day of our sea moss farmers, Jervania and Larry, and the amount of work behind sea moss harvesting. Since the beginning of our company, we have sought to connect our audience with our farmers and be a part of the 360 sea moss harvesting journey. We believe in creating a TRUE connection to your food by being transparent and ethical in our harvesting methods, paying fair & premium prices for our sea moss, and supporting coastal economies.
How Sea Moss Cultivation Helps #Protect30x30
30x30 is a new approach by conservationist that aims to protect 30% of our planet by 2030.
Leading scientists worldwide have determined a healthy ocean is a critical part of the solution to the climate and biodiversity crises, and that protecting at least 30% of our lands, waters, and ocean by 2030 (30x30) is necessary to give the planet a chance to recover and protect millions of species from extinction. Sea moss cultivation supports 30x30 by protecting the ocean through regenerative practices such as sustainable sea moss harvesting and supports the livelihood of local communities by working hand in hand with them. It is becoming more evident that for us to mitigate the climate crisis and protect nature, we must work with indigenous people and local communities to maintain customs and traditions that can thrive into the future.
Support the Movement!
This #WorldOceanDay let’s show and grow support for the movement to protect at least 30% of our blue planet by 2030. Together we can turn the tide, curb this climate crisis and protect biodiversity, worldwide.
